Meliá Sol y Nieve is located in the centre of Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, just 100 metres from the ski lifts. The three time winner of Spain's Best Ski Hotel offers a gym and a modern spa.

The Sol y Nieve’s 2500 m² Yhi Spa features a pool with jets, foot baths and a hydrothermal circuit with oxygenating beds and a flotarium. There is also a children’s spa with a slide, as well as a games room. The hotel also has a ski school and ski equipment on hire.

What was the highlight of Meliá Sol y Nieve

Great location. Nice rooms. Not great sleep. Very poor pool / spa setup.

Rooms were comfortable. Location good. Buffet / restaurant good.

The rooms were comfortable, although the showers in the bathroom's a little weak / underpowered. Our rooms overlooked the street which was very noisy until late (12pm) and sometimes in the early hours with refuse trucks cleaning the road twice. When we asked for alternative rooms, we were offered much smaller ones. Also it wasn't clear when we booked that there are two pools. A very large Spa pool area, minimum age 12 years old, but which you need to pay 30 euros each per day to use, and was rarely busy. And then a much smaller pool, always busy, for anyone 12 or under, which is free.

Facilities for kids, location, nice spa, food available throughout the day, kids club was great, and plenty of things to do even if the skiing was not available

A great few days, in a friendly resort

The resort was compact with decent restaurants. It was easy to access the lifts, and except on the first day, the lines were not too bad.

As I said, the wet snow and the terrible evening buffet on day 1 at the Melia which was poor quality and expensive. The food that the mountain top restaurants was appalling and slow to be delivered.

Had a lovely time with family but hotel stay could of been improved.

Good having a spacious family room. Room cleaning was very good and done daily. Breakfast had a good selection and didn’t have to wait for a table.

Didn’t like having to pay to use the pool. Keycards kept malfunctioning all the time. Some bar staff were a bit rude and grumpy. Ridiculous price for car parking as a guest.

As expected

Well located, we a great spa and indoor pools for relaxing after skiing. Breakfast is great and super fast to accommodate guests. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.

Using the pools is a bit pricey and feels a lot like crowed resorts. You need to book your time in advance.

very good breakfast, nice children club program, good gym. Nothing to add

broken bath facilities, non logical order of pool use, there is no normal pool, just outdated water bubbles from the 90's. tried to add to my bill things from minibar. All in all more to avoid than like

Great location, superb food, although there's not much to entertain little children between 2-5pm.

The buffet food (breakfast & dinner) was excellent - a good selection, well prepared and nicely presented.

The kids' pool didn't open until 5pm. We found this tricky when our small children had had enough skiing. Children are NOT allowed in the main spa pool - this should be clearly pointed out on the booking platform.

We had a great stay but an expensive ski hotel should offer a free pool and jacuzzi.

Great and helpful staff on reception. Thank you very much. Great breakfast. Ski Lockers are good. Location ok, but it is not ski-in as suggested in marketing, quite a way to lifts.

Info about parking. I rang and was told there was none, so I used the underground which wasn't convenient. Charge for pool and spa- outrageous. We would not return because of this (all 7 of us!) So you lost a lot of business. Difficult to navigate, we needed a plan of the hotel and the resort. Room was a little dark. Temperature control was difficult and not easy to get room right.

Ideal hotel for a comfortable short ski break.

Short walk from Gondola lift, restaurants and bars. Excellent choice of breakfast. Everywhere light & bright & clean. When we needed help with a practical matter, the engineer was up to our room immediately. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Luxury hotel and fantastic staff who really look after you.

Staff are fantastic and attentive. Facilities are great Breakfast was excellent

Beds are on wheels and seem to move if you sit up in bed! Dinner buffet in the hotel is expensive for the quality of what you get.
